people drift by you
one by one
in endless waves of controlled chaos
blank expressions mask their faces
inside, hiding thoughts unknown
their world is their own.
no one looks at you.
faces buried in bright light,
searching for solace
only to be engulfed by darkness
existence fleeting.
following paths to nowhere,
black and grey draws the line
between safety and danger.
humans forgot their nature
man forgot he doesn’t need roads
women reminded them.
woken from stupor,
fumbling for memories lost
emotions erupt!
silence. I remember–
a million faces,
but i’m only looking for yours.
time, where did she go?
